I can’t add a lot to what has already been said, except this is so typical of how people with disabilities are viewed and valued in various/most societies. The idea that these men were ‘taking care’ of her in the first place is inappropriate, but to insist they continue rather than go to jail where they belong is truly an act of injustice.
