If the Justice system doesn't stand up for her who will? Certainly not her family who kept her as a sex slave. Surely the judge in this case must be an abuser also. Who else would hand down such a ridiculous sentence? I urge the people of her country to react appropriately and boot that judge out of office. Surely the world will judge a country harshly who allows that kind of treatment to one of the least of its' citizens. I am horrified by the story of the rape of this young Korean girl. I grieve for her, and all she has lost, including the justice she deserves. I grieve, too, because of the perversion of justice that sickeningly matches the perversion of the people who were entrusted with the care of this precious life. I can only hope that the Korean women's community will continue to give her shelter and protection, and the support to survive and ultimately have a life of safety, dignity and choice.
