Access to Justice Resource

7 October 2009- Ontario, Canada Augmentative Communication Community Partnerships CANADA (ACCPC) and Justice Canada have teamed up to produce a great new resource on the use of alternative forms of communication in the courts. While this resource is was created specifically for the Canadian context, it has a huge amount of valuable information that can be applied anywhere. and in particular some great videos on the topic.

Baltimore, MD, USA – 19 February 2009 Today when I opened my mail, I found a copy of the brand new text Combatting Violence & Abuse of People with Disabilities: A Call to Action by Nancy Fitzsimons and published by Brookes Publishing, Co. It wasn’t a surprise because I wrote a foreword for the book a few months ago, but it certainly came at a good time. The recent torture case emerging from Hamilton, Ontario, here in Canada has left me feeling angry and frustrated. (more…)

October 2008 – Laramie, WY, USA The Victims of Crime With Disabilities Resource Guide is and extremely valuable internet-based resource developed through a partnership between the Association for University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD) and the Wyoming Institute for Disabilities (WIND) with funding from with funding from the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office for Victims of Crime (OVC).
